What We Do
Monthly Meetings: Join us for our engaging monthly meetings, where we host knowledgeable speakers, organise hands-on workshops, and share valuable tips and tricks for successful gardening.
Annual Shows: Showcase your green masterpieces at our annual horticultural shows. It’s a fantastic opportunity to exhibit your gardening prowess, compete for prizes, and celebrate the beauty of nature.

About Our Society
The Society has been established in Bexleyheath for over 80 years and continues to flourish with over 330 active members. We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and to the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in horticulture. Membership is currently £1 per annum, subscriptions being due on 1st January.
Trading
The Society operates two shops at allotment sites in Bexleyheath. Details of their locations and opening hours can be found under the ‘Shop’ tab.
The shops sell Composts, Fertilisers and a host of additional horticultural products. Seasonally, members can order Seed Potatoes, Onion Sets/Shallots/Garlic, Seeds (from Kings – a highly rated seed merchant) and Spring Flowering bulbs. Details of these items are emailed to all members as they are available and are included on this Website.
Annual Show
We hold an Annual Show in late summer. The Show Schedule includes classes for Vegetables, Flowers, Domestic, Photography and Crafts. Details are emailed to all members and posted on the Website.
Visits and Events
In addition to our Annual Show, we organise a coach trip to a RHS garden (as part of our affiliation) and also organise other visits to places of Horticultural interest.
We also hold ‘Talks’ on various horticultural subjects. We are always looking for ideas for additional visits or suggested topics for talks.
